TREES IN A SERIES

Mike Bailey says, "Challenge yourself to paint in a series and experience the liberation to be found in confinement." (Watercolor Artist/October 2009) Although I have painted trees off and on for quite a while, after reading this article I decided to focus on trees and see where it would take me. I have used a variety of materials and styles.

There is more under "older posts."

  1. These are interesting, what size are they? I see that you are exploring the subject, but they don't seem like a body of work or fit together like the things you did for K. I would like to see you take each of these and then do a series of 4 or 5 using the same technique or color palatte to and see what you can develop from there. Right now they look like they could have been done by different people. One assignment I had one time was "9 trees but think out of the box". I applaud your out of the box thinking, but develop it more. Kudos. Happy Birthday!.
